History

Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home was established in July 1966 by Richard M. Dantzler and James R. Baker. It was the first funeral home to locate in Great Falls. The business purchased the former residence of Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Belk, Sr. at 26 Underwood Avenue. In 1974 the facility was completely remodeled and enlarged. Upon the retirement of Mr. Dantzler in 1993 James and his wife Barbara purchased Dantzler's portion of the company.
