Great Falls Mr. Charles “Chuck” Wolford, 63, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC.The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM on Saturday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Wolford was born in O’Keefe, WV on October 19, 1947 and was a son of the late Claude and Edna Sipple Wolford.He attended Matewan High School in West Virginia and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Soldier’s Medal of Valor, the Purple Heart, and the Bronze Star.He was employed as a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wilson Wolford; four daughters, Debbie Badovick of Fort Lawn, Michelle Wolford of Great Falls, Dawn Wolford of NC, and Erin Wolford of Great Falls; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Leon Wolford of Lancaster and Claude Wolford of Fort Lawn; two sisters, Mildred Leggett of Fort Lawn and Judy Whorton of Rixieville, VA.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Wolford and Billy Gene Wolford and two sisters, Joann Jessie and Betty Jane McGee.
