Keith Black

Marvin Keith Black, 69, died Sunday, March 16, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Great Falls, SC with Dr. Jackie Jenkins officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM also Sunday, March 23, at First Baptist Church in Great Falls, SC. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Black was born April 30, 1955 in Chester, SC and was the son of the late Marvin Neely Black and Evelyn Turner Black. Keith was a graduate of Great Falls High School and the University of South Carolina. He was retired from Chester County School District having  spent 30 years at Great Falls Elementary School as a teacher and then as guidance counselor. Keith had a love for reading, traveling, his cats, and spending time with friends and family. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sister, Frieda Black Ross (David Ross Jr.) of Cayce, SC; one niece Kimberly Corley (Henry) of West Columbia, SC; and their three  children , Logan, Nathan and Jackson Corley; three cousins, Jennifer Avery, Lexie Avery and  Ashton Richardson of  Mayo Fl.
