Roger Dale Greer

Great Falls Mr. Roger Dale Greer, 69, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday March 29, 2020 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. James Howard Baker and Rev. Chase Catledge officiating. He was born August 06, 1950 in Lancaster, SC and was a son of the late George W. Greer and Margie Baker Greer. Mr. Greer was a graduate of Great Falls High School and York Tech. He was a retired Electrician and Maintenance supervisor with Wateree Textile, in Lugoff, SC, and he also was a member of Great Falls Masonic Lodge # 277 and Hejaz Shriner's Temple. Mr. Greer was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War and received the Bronze Star; he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of over 41 years Lydia Day Greer; one daughter Jessica Greer McKeown (Max), of Great Falls, SC; two grandsons, Cole McKeown and Crawford McKeown of Great Falls, SC; one brother, Richard Greer, of Liberty Hill, SC; two sisters, Aileen Norris of Grovetown, GA and Barbara Broughton (Wayne) of Richburg, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.
