Great Falls Mr. Willie Sibley Hinson, Jr., 88, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster following a brief illness.A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Greg Batchelor officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to offer their condolences to the family from 12:00 – 12:45 PM on Wednesday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Hinson was born February 8, 1924 in Chester County, SC to the late Willie Sibley Hinson, Sr. and Eunice Gwin Hinson Gardner.He was a step-son of the late Seaborn Gardner.Willie attended the schools of Great Falls and worked many years for both J.P. Stevens Mills and Ken Green Chevrolet.During his retirement years, he raised cattle.He was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge #277, and the Great Falls Shrine Club. He is survived by one son, W.S. Hinson, III and wife Rita of Great Falls; four grandchildren and their spouses, Keith and Roxie Trotter of Rock Hill, Eugene and Randy Trotter of Smyrna, Kim and Chris Bailey of Fort Lawn, and Amanda Dominy and Donnie Knight of Hartsville; nine great-grandchildren, Russ and Jonathan Trotter, Stephen, Mitchell, and Jake Trotter, Katelyn and Sydney Bailey, and Waylon and Adrienne Dominy; three step-brothers, Paul, Ed, and Oscar Gardner; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann McKeown Hinson; a daughter, Margaret Hinson Trotter Dominy; a sister, Nell Gwin Rivers; a brother, John T. Hinson; and two step-brothers, Troy and Elmer Gardner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 606 Dearborn St., Great Falls, SC 29055.
