Alice Mae Thompson Mcfarland

Alice Mae Thompson McFarland, 89, died Saturday, March 16, 2024, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 18, 2024, at Tabernacle Ministries with Pastor Kenneth Compton officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at Tabernacle Ministries. Mrs. McFarland was born November 14, 1934 in Great Falls, SC and was a daughter of the late Lester Thompson and Ada Evans Thompson. She attended the schools of Great Falls and was a licensed cosmetologist in Great Falls for over 40 years. Mrs. McFarland was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three sons, Randall McFarland, Gerald McFarland (Lisa) and Steve B. McFarland (Pam) all of Great Falls; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McFarland was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Edward McFarland; a son, Keith Edward McFarland; a daughter, Kathy Ruff and son-in-law, Skipper Ruff; three granddaughters, Krystle Ruff, Heather J. McFarland and Sonni McFarland; five brothers, Melvin, Troy, Henry, Jack and Lester "Pee Wee" Thompson; and two sisters, Fannie Ruth Thompson and infant, Edna Thompson.
