Annie Laura Knopf Jones

Great Falls Mrs. Annie Laura Knopf Jones, 98, died Saturday, February 20, 2021, at her home.A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Heath Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. David Ussery and Rev. Marshall Still officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 22, at the home at 5143 Great Falls Hwy., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Jones was born February 19, 1923 in Barnwell County, SC and was one of thirteen children of the late William Henry Knopf and Idoma Grainger Knopf.She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and wasemployed at the Charleston Naval Base prior to her move to Great Falls.She was employed with J.P. Stevens and was co-owner and operator of Jones Convenient Store.Mrs. Jones was a member of Heath Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Robert Jones (Christine) of Richburg; one brother, William “Bill” Knopf of Great Falls; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Jones, Sr.; a son, John W. Jones, Jr; a daughter, Jo Ann Paul; a grandson, Larry Paul; and several brothers and sisters.
