Great Falls Mrs. Barbara Tart Coan , 82, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Second Baptist Church in Great Falls with Rev. Tanner Munday, Rev Zack Williams and Rev. Will McBrayer officiating. Interment will following in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Coan was born November 27, 1935 in Roanoke, VA to the late Preston Tart and Ollie Belle Donahue Tart. She was a retired sewing machine operator. Mrs. Coan was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by; one daughter, Robin Workman of Ruffin. two sons, Jerry Lynn Coan of Rock Hill and Fred Thomas Coan, Sr. and wife Betsy of Clover.seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren Mrs. Coan was preceded in death by her husband FredJ.
