Rock Hill Mrs. Betty Garrison Williams, 88, formerly of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the home of her son, Jerry in Richburg.Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, SC with the Rev. Eric Winstead officiating. A native of Rock Hill, SC, she was born October 27, 1921, a daughter of the late John McDuffie Garrison and Lula Ferguson Garrison.She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and attended Winthrop College.During her lifetime, Mrs. Williams was employed by Sears and Roebuck, Peoples National Bank, White Printing Co., and retired from S.C. Department of Wildlife.She was a member of Neely's Creek ARP Church. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Nathaniel "Nat" Bratton Williams; one son, Jerry Williams and his wife, Eve; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Joe W. Garrison and his wife, Doris and one sister, Jean Garrison Watts.She was preceded in death by two brothers, John M. "Jack" Garrison and Harry F. "Monk" Garrison. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 PM on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC and other times at the home of Jerry Williams.
