Bobby J. Bigham

Bobby Bigham, age 83, of Blackstock, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026 surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday at the church.

He was a proud veteran who honorably served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Bowater paper mill after 35 years of service. Bobby was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life was a testimony of faith, service, and dedication to his family. He loved the Lord and lived his life guided by strong Christian values, always offering kindness, wisdom, and encouragement to those around him.

Bobby especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, where he found peace and joy in God’s creation. Some of his happiest moments were spent outside, sharing those passions with family and friends, including his good friend Roy Steele.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Erline Bigham; his two sons, Jamie Bigham and Brett Bigham (Joann); his grandchildren, Jodi, Corey, and Ashley; and his great-grandchildren, Carson and Reagan.

Though deeply missed, the family rejoices in knowing that Bobby is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good, and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)
