Fort Lawn Mr. Bobby Ray Mims Sr., 85, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. surrounded by hisfamily.A graveside service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery at 4:00 PM, February 2, 2022 with Bishop Jim Outen officiating. Mr. Mims was born January 6, 1936 in Alabama and was a son of the late Arthur Mims and Ruby Foshee Mims. He was a graduate of Chilton County Alabama High School and was an electrician with Springs Industries. Mr. Mims was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in Korea. He attended Fort Lawn Church of God and was also active with the Gideon’s. He is survived by two sons, Bobby Mims, Jr. (Nikki) of Fort Lawn, SC and Christopher Mims of Gilbert, SC; two daughters, Melissa Dalton of Fort Lawn, SC and Victoria Baker (James) of Chester, SC; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Gene Mims of Montgomery, Ala. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glennie Mims after 62 years of marriage; two daughters, Regina Hinson and Angela McDonald; and his sister, Lula Mims; one brother, Marion Mims.
