Great Falls Mr. Bobby Ray Outen, 75, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Springs Memorial Hospital.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Westside Baptist Church in Lancaster with Rev.Todd Robinson officiating.Interment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, at Westside Baptist Church. Mr. Outen was born July 30, 1936 in Lancaster and was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson Outen and Rennie Jeanetti Watts Outen.He was a graduate of Lancaster High School and the SC Criminal Justice Academy.He was formerly employed with Plyler Wholesale, Jack’s Cookies, Chester County Sheriffs Department, a Lieutenant with Great Falls Police Department and former Chief of Fort Lawn Police Department; he also worked with Brinks and American Security.He was a member of Mt. Prospect United Methodist Church and former member of Westside Baptist Church of Lancaster. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Thompson Outen; one daughter, Rene’ K. Sanderson and husband Jeff of Great Falls; one son, Corey Ray Outen and wife Miranda of Mooresville, NC; two step-sons, Russell E. Waters, Jr. and Todd Waters both of Great Falls; three grandchildren, Kristina Kos, Seth Waters, and Kaitlyn Waters; two brothers, Bill Outen of Lancaster and Morrison Outen of Monroe, NC ; three sisters, Martha O.
