Bruce Carlton Payne

Bruce Carlton Payne passed away in his beloved home on Thursday, February 5, 2026 in Great Falls, South Carolina. Throughout his 79 years, he was a business owner, friend, husband, and, above all, a father. He was an avid reader, music lover, and a meticulous lawn mower. His home and his family were his sources of pride and joy.

Bruce is lovingly remembered, with beautiful memories of Carolina football, ocean swims, long talks, and immeasurable laughs, by his wife Sue Payne, his daughters Kellie Payne and Halen Payne, his granddaughter Savannah Crosby, and his special Riley Nicole. Bruce dedicated his life to being a steady anchor for “his girls.” His kindness, empathy, and loyalty are his legacy.

At his request, no formal funeral services will be held. The family appreciates prayers and condolences in lieu of formal visitations
