Chester Mr. Carl Edward “Sonny” Fowler, Sr., 81, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Mike Sollers officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mr. Fowler was born February 26, 1933 in Great Falls and was a son of the late Claude Sylvester Fowler and Maggie Juanita Beckham Fowler.He attended the schools of Great Falls and was a member of Second Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Carl E. Fowler, Jr. of Lancaster, Johnny Raymond Fowler of Blackstock, and John Lewis Jessee of Chester; one daughter, Sherry D. Rainey of Chester; two brothers, Eugene Fowler of Lexington, NC, and Ronnie Fowler of Charleston, SC; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren,He was preceded in death by a son, Rodie Keith Fowler; a daughter, Sheila Kay Fowler; a sister, Barbara Jean Henry; and two brothers, Jimmy Fowler and Ralph Fowler.
