Great Falls Mrs. Carolyn Mae Hartis Steen, 72, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her home. A graveside service will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Evans and Rev. Kenneth Compton officiating.Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday June 15, 2021 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home and other times at 53 Pine Street, Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Steen was born January 23. 1949 in Pageland, SC and was a daughter of the late Walter R. Hartis and Marie McClain Hartis. She attended school in Pageland , SC and also received an Associate Degree fromYork Tech. Carolynwas previously employed with Chesterfield Yarn Mill, Johnson Spinning, and J.P. Stevens, she attended Evangel Temple. She is survived by her husband Charles Steen; two sons, Scotty Steen (Rachel) of Great Falls, SC and Paul Steen (Kelly) of Lancaster, SC; four grandchildren, Corey, Bailee, Gavin and Greer Steen; two sisters, Martha Wright of Great Falls, SC and Diane Deese of Pageland, SC.
