Catherine "Cat" Hill Hartley

Great Falls Mrs. Catherine “Cat” Hill Hartley, 65, died Friday, March 31, 2023, at MUSC Health Columbia. There will be a service held at a later date at her church. Mrs. Hartley was born May 16, 1957 in Lancaster, SC and was a daughter of the late John E. Hill and Bernice Scott Hill. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School. She was employed early in her career with Duracell and later with Grace Fabrication. “Cat” was extremely trusting of people and she loved those Gamecocks. She was a member of New Life Free Will Baptist Church of Lancaster. She is survived by her cousins and caretakers, Randy Trimnal of Summerton, SC and Rene’ Lavan (Joe) of Lancaster, SC; an aunt, Ruth Mackey of Conway, SC; and additional cousins, Sue, Gene, Angel, Hope, Crystal, Bug, Allen, Michael and Misty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Barry “Head” Hartley; a son, Travis Gutledge; two brothers, Arnold and Allen Hill; and one sister, Iris Hall.
