Great Falls Cecil Everette “Eddie” Roof , 61, died Saturday, November 3, 2018, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Mt .Zion Baptist Church with Rev. J.D. Wilson officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, November 11, 2018 atMt .Zion Baptist Church Sanctuary, 6964 Wateree. Rd, Great Falls, SC. 29055. Mr. Roof was born June 21, 1957 in Chester County, SC and was a son ofGeorge Edward Roof and the late Betty Sue Gunter. He graduated from Great Falls High School and was employed as a carpenter. Mr. Roof attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Roof; one stepdaughter, Jenna Hunter (Jackie)of Rock Hill; one step son, Nicholas Hunter of Rock Hill; three grandchildren, Tinlegh Hunter, Briar Petty, Briggs Petty ; his father Jerry Roof ( Carol) of Great Falls; one brother, Shawn Gunter (Tonya) of Lancaster; two sisters, Trudy Wilson ( Jimmy)and Patty Reid ( Jim) both of Great Falls; numerous nieces and nephews. And his lifelong friend Terry Granger. He was preceded in death by one nephew Jamie Wilson. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 6964 Wateree Rd, Great Falls, SC 29055.
