Charles Theodore Hopper

Great Falls Mr. Charles Theodore Hopper, 77died Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God with Rev. Dr. Marty Roberts and Rev. Donte Sumpter officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service in the social hall. He was born August 30, 1942 in Great Falls, SC and was a son of the late Walter Boyce Hopper and Emily Christine Cox McManus. He attended the schools of Great Falls and left to join the U.S Navy where he served during 1960-1969 and served during Vietnam. He received his GED after joining the Navy. Mr. Hopper was formerly employed with Duke Power and Daniels Construction as a welder. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Rebecca Pope Hopper; one son, Jeffrey Hopper (Amy) of Lugoff, SC; four grandchildren, Timothy Hopper, Kirsti Hopper, Courtney Hearon (Joel), Jeffrey Hopper, Jr.; one great-grandson, Josey Hearon ; step-father, Jerry McManus; two brothers, Walter “Tuck” Hopper Jr. and Gary McManus; special cousin, Lydia Williams; He was preceded in death by one son Gerald Michael Hopper.
