Great Falls Mr. Charles Edward Neal, 89,died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Springs Memorial Hospital.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Great Falls Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mary Anne Welch officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Great Falls Presbyterian Church, 500 Dearborn St., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Neal was born June 22, 1923 in Great Falls and was a son of the late Morris Arthur Neal and Lona Robbins Neal.He was a graduate of Great Falls High School, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was retired from J.P. Stevens as a shipping clerk.Mr. Neal was a member of Great Falls Presbyterian Church where he served as treasurer for more than 50 years.He was an avid Red Devils football fan. He is survived by one son, Lawrence E. Neal; one grandson, Charles Dalton Neal; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Anna Mae Neal, all of Great Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
