Charlotte Estelle Doster Taylor

Charlotte Estelle Doster Taylor, 77, died Sunday, September 29, 2024, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Roberts and Rev. Henry Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, SC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Thursday at Mitford Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor was born December 31, 1946 in Chester County, SC and was a daughter of the late Harrison White Doster and Mary Lou Brown. She attended the schools of Lewisville where she played basketball. She retired from J.P. Stevens as a spinner and also Leroy Springs Plant in Fort Lawn. Charlotte loved gardening and cooking and spending quality time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of more than 61 years, David Lee Taylor; three children, Carolyn Catledge (Chris) of Lancaster, David Taylor, Jr. of Blackstock and Katherine Price (Tim) of Great Falls; one brother, Kirby Godbee of Richburg; six grandchildren, Michael Swilling, Tracy Swilling, Andrew Price (Brooke), Jeremy Price (Ragan), Madison Taylor (Oscar)and Katlyn Taylor (Justin); and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Taylor and Connie Caldwell; one brother, Tim Doster; and one great granddaughter, Addalyn Grace Collins.
