Great Falls Mr. Christopher Olin “Chris” Whittle, 55, died Monday, November 28, 2016, at his home.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer UMC Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Born May 17, 1961, in Charlotte, NC,Mr. Whittle was a son of the late V. O. “Shorty” Whittle and Ella Varnadore Whittle.He attended the schools of Great Falls and was self-employed as a carpenter/brick mason.Mr. Whittle was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shellie Sinclair Whittle; one son, Tony Crosby, Jr. of Great Falls, SC; three daughters, Amber Whittle, Ashley Whittle, and Elizabeth Crosby all of Great Falls, SC; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Vivian Farris (John) of Charlotte, NC and Joyce Wright (Virgil) of Great Falls, SC.
