Great Falls Mr. Claude William “Brother” Wolford, 74, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 23, at Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky.Interment will follow at Wolford Cemetery in Devon, West Virginia. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky. Mr. Wolford was born January 28, 1938 in Pike County, Kentucky and was a son of the late Claude Wolford and Edna Sipples Wolford.He attended the schools of Mingo County, West Virginia.He was formerly employed by Norfolk & Western Railroad, worked as a brick mason, and as as coal miner.Mr. Wolford was also an avid horse trainer. He is survived by two sons, James Wolford of Forest Hills, Ky. and Roger Wolford of Lancaster, SC; three daughters, Barbara Simpkins of Winchester, Va., Luara Wolford of Matewan, W. Va. and Marla Taber of Purcellvile, Va.; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Leon Wolford of Lancaster, SC; and two sisters, Mildred Leggett of Fort Lawn and Judy Whorton of Rixiville, Va.
