Catawba Mrs. Coleen Baker Lucas, 86, formerly of Great Falls, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2016, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls with Pastor Debbie Dyches officiating.The family will receive friends and family from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM on Friday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home in Great Falls. Mrs. Lucas was born December 22, 1929 and was a daughter of the late John Curtis Baker and Dessie Phillips Baker.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Lockhart Mill.Mrs. Lucas was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, John “Bill” Lucas; one son, Mickey Varnadore of Boston, Mass.; three stepchildren, Susan “Diane” Williams (Eddie) of Catawba, Johnny Lucas and Chuck Evans (Cindy) both of Great Falls ; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy McCormick.
