Great Falls Mrs. Connie Lathan Smith, 81, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at her home.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Chase Catledge officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 8,at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Smith was born March 15, 1934 in Chester County, SC and was the daughter of the late John Lathan and Ruby Revels Lathan Kennington.She attended the schools of Great Falls and was retired from Grand Central as a waitress.Mrs. Smith also worked with J.P. Stevens and was a beautician.She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Lewis “Pete” Smith (Jeneine) of Pottsboro, Texas and Junius W. “Bubba” Smith, Jr. of Great Falls; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lee Adams of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Billy Kennington (Gail) of Lexington, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Junius W.
