Crystal Ann "Kristy" Self, 34, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, September 6, 2026. Service arrangements are incomplete and will be announced.
Kristy was born August 11, 1992 in Lancaster and was the daughter of Tammy Self. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School Class of 2011. Her greatest blessing was her daughter, Skylee.
Kristy was always full of life, full of laughter and full of love for her family and friends. She loved to shop and, if you knew her well, you know she never met a stranger. Whether you saw her yesterday, last week or last year, she could pick back up with you right where you left off. She loved babies and taking care of kids in general. Even throughout her illness she still tried her best to be there for her daughter, nieces and nephews. Kristy always had the biggest heart. She was happy, loud, fun and absolutely one of the best. All of us who had the privilege of knowing her will carry a void in our hearts until we see her again in Heaven.
Kristy leaves behind her sweet daughter, Skylee Poulin; her devoted mother, Tammy Self (Wayne); her two brothers, Tommy Self and B.J. Self; her nieces and nephews, Jayden "Jay" Self, Aubree "Bree" Self, Kensley St. John and Bentley St. John; her maternal grandmother, Pat McCowan; and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. Kristy was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Thomas Wayne Minors.
Kristy's 2 1/2 year battle with cancer began with breast cancer but she was a warrior all the way to the end. She would want her story to remind everyone not to dismiss a concern or ignore the feeling that something is wrong. Kristy would want you to make the appointment, ask the questions and keep seeking answers.
Although her time with us was short, the love she gave will continue through every life she touched.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
