Great Falls, SC Mr. Dewey Edwin Chandler, 85, of Great Falls, formerly of Greenville, SC,died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, SC.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the home at 45 Republic St., Apt. 2, Great Falls, SC with Rev. Gene Fowler officiating. Born September 7, 1925 in Greenville Co. SC, he was a son of the late William E. "Zeke" Chandler and Mattie Mayfield Chandler.Mr. Chandler was a graduate of Parker High School in Greenville, SC.He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of VFW Post #9273 of Piedmont, SC.He was a retired millwright in the construction industry. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte B. Chandler;three daughters, Patricia Carmichael of Richburg, SC, Charlene Chandler of Greenville, SC and Robin Buchanan of Belton SC; three sons, Christopher Chandler of Columbus, Ohio, Timothy Chandler of Great Falls, SC and Jeff Chandler of Greenville, SC;eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
