Donald Wayne Day

Donald Wayne Day, 78, died Friday, June 19, 2026, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 26, 2026 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Great Falls, SC with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Mr. Day was born November 25, 1947 in Great Falls, SC and was a son of the late Edward L. Day and Edna Knight Day.  He was a graduate of Great Falls High School Class of 1966.  Mr. Day was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving two tours in Vietnam as a jet engine mechanic.  After his military service he was employed by Clark Control and later by Duracell.  He was an enthusiastic scuba diver and loved antique cars.

He is survived by one son, Jeffrey Wayne Reynolds (Patti) of Lancaster; one daughter, Leslie Bree Day of Lancaster; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Frick of Irmo.
