Donald Ray Roberts

Mr. Donald Ray Roberts, 84, died Friday, August 7, 2026 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Great Falls Church of God with Rev. Roy Puckett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm also Tuesday at Great Falls Church of God.

Mr. Roberts was born November 21, 1941 in Lancaster, SC and was the son of the late George Washingon Roberts and Rhoda Roberts. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School and attended college. He retired from Commercial Construction as an Electrician, having worked many years on shutdowns. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was a Seabee and served during the Vietnam war. Mr. Roberts was a member of Great Falls Church of God where he sometimes sang specials and played the guitar and sang in the choir. He was also a member of The American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Loretta Gail Puckett Roberts; sister-in-law's Diane Roberts of Westville, SC, Becky Roberts of Lancaster, SC, Mary Ellen Gladden of Great Falls, SC, Jean Rumsey of Corning, NY, Ann McAbee of Great Falls, SC, Nellie Rose of War West VA, Ruby Shupe of Great Falls, SC; brothers-in-law Roy Puckett (Karen) of Great Falls, SC, Jerry Knight of Surfside, SC and Robert Puckett of Great Falls, Sc and his niece, Casey Roberts (Randall) of Lancaster, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Lewis, Junior, William, Wayne and Ted Roberts.
