Great Falls Mr. Donald“ Donnie” Lee Weed, 56,died Wednesday, January 28, 2015,at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home,26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC with Rev. Zack Williams and Rev. Mike Morrison officiating.Interment will be private.The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Weed was born in Fairfield County, SCon March 9, 1958and was a son of Peggy Stevenson Weed and the late Bobby Lee Weed.He attended Winnsboro High School and was employed as a supervisor with Defender Services and formerly employed with the Budd Group.Mr. Weed attended Second Baptist Church.He enjoyed his work, fishing, and spending time with his dog “Lady”. In addition to his mother,Peggy Weed of Great Falls, he is survived by two sons, Jamie Weed of Heath Springs and Lee Weed; one sister, Melissa Covin of Great Falls; one brother, Michael A. Weed of Lexington; 2 nieces, Rebecca Covin of Great Falls and Sarah Weed of Lexington; and two nephews, Daniel Covin of Great Falls and Mikie Weed of Lexington.He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Weed and a brother, Thomas Weed.
