Great Falls Mrs. Dorothy Worthy Franklin, 96, died Monday, September 23, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday September 26, 2019 at Great Falls Church of God with Rev. Douglas Pate and Rev. Travis Shirley officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Great Falls Church of God. She was born August 04, 1923 in Whitmire, SC and was a daughter of the late Joe Worthy and Louise Wilbanks Worthy. She attendedschools in Pontiac Michigan and was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens in Great Falls. Mrs. Franklinwas a member of Great Falls Church of God. She is survived by one son, Jimmy Franklin of Tonawanda Trail, TN; two daughters; Dorothy Beckham and her husband Randy with whom she made her home in Great Falls and Virginia Gibson of Newberry, SC; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren and twenty-four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Fred Franklin; Sons; Joe , Gene and Howard Franklin. The family would like to thank Katrina (Missy) Beckham, Jerry Dye, Tony Beckham Christy Beckham, Gary Beckham and Amy Hoophaugh who are grandchildren and special caregivers.
