Great Falls Mrs. Dorothy (Dottie)Gray Grimes, 65, formerly of Great Falls died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC.The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC.The memorial service will be Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Bethany United Methodist Church in Stedman, NC. Mrs. Grimes was a member of the Great Falls High School class of 1962 and an honors graduate of the University of South Carolina.She worked as a teacher for more than 30 years.She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and quilting. She is survived by her husband, Carlton Dean Grimes; her children, Laura Broome Harris of Alpharetta, GA., Michael Austin Broome of York, SC, and Amanda Broome Deal of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Anne Catherine Harris and Drew Harris of Alpharetta, GA and Abigail Deal of Winston-Salem, NC.She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Viola Evans Gray.
