Dorothy Jean Dixon Hopkins Taylor

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Dixon Hopkins Taylor, 81, died Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Great Falls Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Henry Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM also Sunday at the church. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends after the service at the home of Clyde Taylor, 2478 Powerline Dr. Great Falls, SC. 

Mrs. Taylor was born July 28, 1943 in Pageland, SC and was the daughter of the late Clarence Junior Dixon and Magdelene Pope Dixon. She was a graduate of Great Fall High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Great Falls Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Hopkins of Great Falls, SC; three sons, James Woodrow Taylor Jr. of Great Falls, SC , Clyde Matthew Taylor of Great Falls, SC and Daniel Taylor of Great Falls, SC; eight grandchildren ; six great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Livingston of North, SC and Joyce McCammon of Great Falls, SC; one brother, Clyde Dixon of Great Falls, SC., and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Woodrow Taylor, her second husband Nick Hopkins and her third husband Samuel Taylor; brother, Charles Dixon; sister, Linda Craig and a great granddaughter.
