Elizabeth Louise Varnadore Martin

Mrs. Eilzabeth Louise Varnadore Martin, 90, died Thursday, July 23, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Fort Lawn Church of God with Rev. Jerry Barrineau officiating.  Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Dantzler Baker Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Martin was born February 13, 2026 in Chester County, SC and was the daughter of the late William Blair Varnadore and Mary Elkins Varnadore. She attended the schools of Great Falls, SC and was retired from Duracell and later worked as a teacher's aide with Carolina Christian Academy in Lancaster, SC. She was a member of Lando Church of God where she taught Sunday School and sang for the church several times. Mrs. Martin was also a founding member of Fort Lawn Church of God. Betty loved flowers and enjoyed working with her roses and other flowers. 

She is survived by her son, Marion Martin of Edgemoor, SC; six grandchildren, Dale Ellis (Marci) of Fort Lawn, SC, Anthony Knight (Ashley) of Heath Springs, SC, Chris Knight of Fort Lawn, SC, Daniel Ellis of Great Falls, SC, Josh Martin (Sharon) if Edgemoor, SC and Jason Martin (Susie) of Edgemoor, SC; 13 great grandchildren, Kandace, Tony, Brayden, Kaylee, Marley, Jayden, Hailey, Savannah, Lane, Emma, Daniella, Hailee and Malaurie; four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 61 years, John B. Martin; two daughters, Deborah K Laws and Beverly Lynn Cialone and her grandson, Jonathan Martin.
