Elliott E. "Zeke" Broome

Great Falls Mr. Elliott Ezekiel “Zeke” Broome, 77, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Springs Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. David Ussery and Rev. Marty Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Friday at the graveside and other times at the home. Mr. Broome was born July 21, 1938 in Great Falls and was a son of the late Wade A. Broome and Mamie Dawkins Broome.He was a graduate of Great Falls High School.Mr. Broome was employed with J.P. Stevens for 28 years and with Great Falls High School for 18 years.Zeke was an avid tennis player and he loved those South Carolina Gamecocks. He is survived by his wife of more than 47 years, Louise Gardner Broome; one stepdaughter, Mary Nell McKenzie (Bubba) of Richburg; three brothers, Leonard Broome of Fort Mill , Austin Broome (Jakie) and Thomas Broome both ofGreat Falls; one grandson, Jamie McKenzie of Richburg; and several nieces and nephews all of whom loved their Uncle Zeke.
