Emily H. Pesch Goldthwaite, Texas:Mrs. Emily Hunter Pesch, formerly of Great Falls, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville, Texas.She was 84. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Richburg, SC with the Rev. Curtis Cameron and the Rev. Alex Gonzales officiating.Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls, SC. Born in Lancaster County, SC on July 10, 1924, Mrs. Pesch was a daughter of the late Jady Clifton Hunter, Sr. and Eva Beckham Hunter Branham.She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and member of the Eastern Star Chapter 213 Richburg.She was a former member of First Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church in Great Falls.She was a member of First Baptist Church Richburg, where she taught Sunday school and played the piano. She married Forrest D. Pesch on April 12, 1941.He was in the Army and was soon sent overseas in World War II.Mrs. Pesch was an Army housewife during her husband's 23 year military career.The family bought a farm and retired to Richburg in 1966.Because of her declining health, they moved to Texas in 1990 to live with their son.During this time she continued to support her church in Richburg. Surviving are her husband, Forrest D. Pesch of Goldthwaite, TX; son, Butch Pesch and wife Nan of Goldthwaite; daughter Eve Williams and husband Jerry of Richburg, SC; brother William T. Hunter and wife Tina of Richburg, SC; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; one niece, Mary Threat and husband James of Woodruff; one great-niece and two great-nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Jady Clifton Hunter; mother, Eva Beckham Hunter Branham;step-father, Boyd Branham; a brother, J.C. Hunter, Jr.; and a sister, Helen Hunter Higgins. The family will receive friends from 6~7 Monday evening at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC and other times at the home of Jerry and Eve Williams, 4837 Hunter Road, Richburg, SC.
