LANCASTER: Evelyn Baker Medlin, 71, of 3784 Great Falls Highway, died Saturday, September 18, 2009 at Palmetto Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday September 20, 2009 at Grace Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, SC withReverend Russ Wimmer officiating.Interment will be private. Born in Kershaw County, SC, January 04, 1938, Mrs. Medlin was a daughter of the late Clyde and Lottie Baker. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and Chester Vocational Nursing School. Mrs. Medlin was a retired LPN having worked with Chester County Hospital, Dr. Hollis P. Snead, and Chester, Lancaster and Great Falls Health Departments. She was the widow of M. P. Medlin. Surviving her are two daughters, Marcia M. Baker and her husband Bobby and Donna M. Denton and her husband Richard all of Lancaster, SC, one son, David W. Medlin and his wife Teresa of Greenville, SC, three grandchildren, Jennifer B. Whitworth and her husband Steven of Charlotte, NC and Austin and Chad Denton both of Lancaster, SC, two sisters, Gertrude West and Mildred Garris both of Great falls, SC and two brothers, Bert and Cecil Baker both of Great Falls, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
