Great Falls Mrs. Evelyn Juliette Brown Trotter, 74, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at her home following an extended illness.A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Chase Catledge and Rev. Patrick Blackmon officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2014, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Trotter wasborn February 13, 1940 in Spartanburg County, SC and was a daughter of the late James Thomas Brown and Mittie Emory Brown Taylor.She attended the schools of Chester County, SC and retired from Southern Textile Knitters as plant manager.Mrs. Trotter was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was mission leader for the WMU.She loved her family and found joy in spending time with them.Her compassionate heart touched the lives of many. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 44 years, Brady Eugene Trotter;two daughters, Rhonda (Gary) Hensley of Spartanburg and Tammy (Will) Going of Chester; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Hensley, Jessica Snipes, Amy Humphries, Kristen Owens, Daniel Going, Lisa Bigham and Anita Vaughn; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Brown of Lancaster and Preston “Hambone” Brown of Great Falls; a special nephew, Jackie Geddings; and a special friend, Mary Graham.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Ban and Elsie Mae Brown; one brother, Billy Brown; and a great-granddaughter, Addyson Humphries.
