Mrs. Frances Jordan Chalk Ford, 96, died Friday, March 2, 2018, at her home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 5, 2018, at Mt. Dearborn United Methodist Church with Rev. David Ussery officiating.Interment will follow in Ebenezer UMC Cemetery, 1023 Ebenezer Rd., Lugoff, SC.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday at Mt. Dearborn United Methodist Church, 12 Calhoun St., Great Falls. Mrs. Ford was born September 27, 1921 in Columbia, SC to the late Carville Page Chalk and Claribel Tinman Chalk.She was a graduate of University High School in Columbia and attended USC.Mrs. Ford was a member of Mt. Dearborn United Methodist Church.She was also a member of the Garden Club and worked with the Girl Scouts. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Franklin "Bennie" Ford; two sons, Frank Ford (Susan) of Lancaster and David Ford (Amanda) of Great Falls; one daughter, Jennifer Ford of Charlotte; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by a son, James Richard "Ricky" Ford.
