Great Falls Mrs. Geneva Looper Gregg, 93, formerly of Walnut St. in Great Falls, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster, SC.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at First Baptist Church, 606 Dearborn St., Great Falls with Rev. Greg Batchelor and Rev. John Ladd officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Great Falls. Mrs. Gregg was born in Pickens Co., SC on December 4, 1917 and was a daughter of the late James Avery Looper and Katherine Foster Looper Few.She attended the schools of Pickens Co., SC and was retired from J.P. Stevens Co. with more than 45 years of service.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls since 1938 and a member of The Truth Seekers Sunday School class.Mrs. Gregg was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 211 and a former member of the Great Falls Planning and Zoning Commission. Mrs. Gregg is survived by one daughter, Carleen G. Ladd and her husband John of Ft. Lawn; three grandchildren, Lynn McMurray and her husband Eugene of Blackstock, Teresa Edwards Mell and her husband Barry of Decatur, Il and Bobby Joe Edwards, Jr. and his wife Kim of Great Falls; seven great grandchildren, Cody McMurray, Halen Payne, Erin and Chris Edwards, and Casey, Mariah and Joshua Mell; one sister, Lavonia Frost of Rock Hill, SC; and one brother, Bill Few of Liberty Hill, SC.She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl William Gregg.
