George Franklin Coan

LUGOFF Mr. George Franklin Coan, age 66, of 1018 Oak Den Circle, Lugoff, SC, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Kershaw County Memorial Hospital in Camden, SC. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls, SC with the Rev. J. T. Loving officiating. Born December 14, 1942, Mr. Coan was the son of the late Thomas Jackson and Margaret Elizabeth Price Coan.He was a theater owner/operator and a film historian.He attended Great Falls Schools andreceived his GED while in the military.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Pamela C. Coan; two sons, Jack Coan and wife, Delinda of Laurinburg, NC and George B. Coan of Camden, SC; one daughter, Angie Stalter and husband, Paul of Easley, SC; two step-sons, Tommy Watson of Lugoff, SC and Philip Watson of Savannah, Ga.; one step-daughter, Tonya Housand of Louisville, Ky.; nine grandchildren; one brother, Fred Coan of Great Falls, SC; two sisters, Nancy McManus of Great Falls, SC and Brenda Chavis of Garden City, SC. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Friday, October 30, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Memorials may be made to Cowboys for Kids, P.O.
