George Junior Mcabee

George Junior McAbee, 90, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Agape House of Lexington.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Great Falls Church of God with Pastor Roy Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday at the church.

Mr. McAbee was born July 10, 1934 in Gaffney, SC and was a son of the late Alvin McAbee and Miller Ree Stroud McAbee.  He attended the schools of Gaffney, SC and was owner operator of McAbee's Logging.  George was a member of Great Falls Church of God where he was the eldest member. He served as superintendent of Sunday School, sound system operator and enjoyed playing the tambourine for the church. George loved NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife of over 28 years, Flora Ann Puckett McAbee; step-daughter, Sherry Douglas (Quillon) of Great Falls; step-son, Roger Blakley (Tina) of Great Falls; one sister, Ruby Sellers of Great Falls; two brothers, William McAbee and Billy McAbee both of Great Falls; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephew.  In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Knopf ,Carolyn Griffin; and Minnie Rigsby; one brother, B.C. McAbee; and a step-son, Dwayne Mark Blakley.
