Hampton Carlton Hinson

Heath Springs Hampton C. (Pawpaw) Hinson, 81,died Friday, April 19, 2019 at his home.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 22, at The Church of God at Fishing Creek, 1265 Catawba River Rd, Great Falls, SC, with Rev. Ashley Baldwin, Rev. Maurice Kelly, Rev. Michael Nixon and Rev. Earl Little officiating. Mr. Hinson was born May 21, 1937 and was a son of the late Arthur Mack Hinson and Gladys Stroud Hinson. He retired from International Paper Company after 40 years of being a wood yard operator.He served as Pastor of The Church of God at Fishing Creek for 18 years. Rev. Hinson loved his family, church and fishing. He is survived by his wife Bertie Tucker Hinson; one son Randall (Randy) Wayne Hinson, and wife Deanna of Heath Springs, SC; one daughter; Lesia Allen, of Heath Springs, SC; one daughter-in-law, Kristen Hinson of Heath Springs, SC; two brothers, Lee Hinson of Greer, SC and James Hinson of Great Falls, SC; two sisters, Annetta Martin, of Lexington, GA and Hattie Polston of Heath Springs, SC; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Hinson; four brothers, William (W.F.) Hinson, George Hinson, Mack Hinson and Wade Hinson.
