Hattie Mae Hinson Polston

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Hattie Polston, who entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2026 at the age of 79.

Hattie was born on January 10, 1947 in Lancaster and throughout her life she was a shining example of love, faith, and grace. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose life reflected her unwavering trust in the Lord and her deep love for her family.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion. Her laughter, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters Dianna Doster (John), Betty Freeman, Iva Mae Marshall (P-Nut); sons, Thomas Polston(Skeet) and Glenn Taylor; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her love in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Polston, seven brothers, and one sister.

Hattie found joy in birdwatching, singing, and dancing. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone around her.

At her request, no formal funeral services will be held. The family appreciates prayers and condolences.

Though we grieve her passing, we find peace in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of her Savior, hearing the words,

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
