Hazle Boyd Jones

GREAT FALLS:Mr. Hazle Boyd "Popeye" Jones died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, SC.. He was 78. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Mount Dearborn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Smoak officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Born September 29, 1930 in Great Falls, Mr. Jones was a son of the late Floyd Thomas and Tessie Tarlton Jones and attended the schools of Great Falls.A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Jones was formerly employed with J.P.Stevens Co., Springs Industries, and Kendall of Camden. Surviving are his wife, Betty Roberts Jones; a son Jayson Jones and his wife Sheri of Great Falls; daughters, Denise J. Flowers and her husband Daniel of Great Falls and Lynn J. Rogers and her husband Tim of Anderson, SC; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Christopher of Blythewood, SC.
