Blackstock Mrs. Helen McDonald Cloninger, 87, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Agape Senior Assisted Living Facility in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Hebron Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Williams and Dr. David Riddle officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Monday at Hebron Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Cloninger was born May 27, 1923 in Chester Co. and was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Kate Smith McDonald.She was a retired teacher and a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons, Mack Cloninger and his wife Jane of Colorado and Scott Cloninger and his wife Nellie of Central, SC; four grandchildren, James (Jim) Cloninger, Jr. of Texas, John Scott Cloninger, Jr. of Richburg, Franklin Cloninger of Greenwood, and Patricia Cloninger of Central, SC; and a brother, Sanford McDonald of Blackstock.She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Cloninger; a sister, Evelyn Rash, and a brother, Elliott McDonald.
