Great Falls Mrs. Helen Varnadore Collins McMurray, 85, died Wednesday, August 09, 2017, at Lancaster Convalescent Home in Lancaster, SC.A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Marty Roberts, Rev. William Graham, and Rev. Darryl Waldrop officiating.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Born April 6, 1932 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. McMurray was a daughter of the late David Varnadore and Florence Cameron Varnadore. She attended the schools of Great Falls, SC and was a sewing machine operator at Great Falls Knitwear and wasa member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. McMurray is survived by one daughter, Harriett Adams of Lancaster, SC; three sons, Ronnie Collins (Joy) of Camden, SC, Richard Collins (Louise) of Great Falls, SC, and David “Bubba” Collins (Sandra) of Great Falls, SC; and one sister, Dot Price of Great Falls, SC.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Collins Blakely.
