Hilda Price Gladden, 81, widow of F. Raymond Gladden, Sr., died Monday, May 27, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Hebron Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. David Riddle officiating.Burial will follow in Hebron Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Gladden was born in Great Falls on November 24, 1931, daughter of the late Duncan Price and Mildred Love Hammond Price.She graduated from Great Falls High School and the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing.Her career as a registered nurse included service with Lancaster General Hospital, Chester County Hospital, Chester County Health Department, Chester County Public Schools and J.P. Stevens, Inc. Mrs. Gladden was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church, where she formerly served as an elder and was an active member of the Presbyterian Women's Circle. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gladden was preceded in death by a daughter, Nina Ann Gladden. She is survived by one son, F. Raymond “Ray” Gladden, Jr., and his wife Pamela of Mebane, NC; one daughter, Catherine Gladden Vaughn and her partner Kathryn Fessler of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Hannah Margaret Vaughn, Morgan Andrew Gladden, Rachel Catherine Vaughn and Stuart Daniel Gladden; andone brother, Ronald Price. Memorial may be made to to Hebron Presbyterian Church, 4776 Mountain Gap Road, Blackstock, SC 29014
