Elgin Mr. Jackie Crawford, 76, died Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Kershaw Health in Camden.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, at Lake Wateree Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Pelham officiating.A memorial service is planned for a later date. Mr. Crawford was born April 21, 1944 in Jacksonville, Florida and was a son of the late Edward Nailand Pauline Martin Nail.He was a graduate of Ribault High School in Jacksonville, Florida and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam.Jackie was formerly employed at Mayport Naval Shipyard in Florida.He was a Mason and a member of Lake Wateree Baptist Church.Jackie was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife, Rachel McWaters Crawford; two sons, David Edwards of Columbia and Robby Edwards of Lexington; two daughters, Machelle Brisbin of Columbia, SC and Melissa Rivers of Elgin, SC; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Janette Mills of Kingsland, GA; two brothers, Richard Nail of Jacksonville, FL and Melvin Nail of Kingsland, GA; and five nephews.
