James David Blackmon

Great Falls Mr. James David Blackmon, 74, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at his home.A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Mount Prospect United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Roy Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mr. Blackmon was born January 25, 1940 in Richburg, SC and was a son of the late William Louis Blackmon and Clara Belle Varnadore Blackmon.He attended the schools of Lewisville and retired from the U.S. Army as a Sgt. First Class He is survived by his wife, Rita G. Blackmon; one son, David Blackmon of Sharon, SC; two daughters, Beate Blackmon and Ashley Blackmon both of Great Falls, four grandchildren, Chris and Justin Yearwood and Dustin and Emily Blackmon all of Great Falls; three great-grandchildren,Jackson and Kaylee Yearwood, and Kaden Blackmon all of Great Falls; one brother, Bill Blackmon of Great Falls; and five sisters, Dorothy Ragsdale andChristine Morrison of Great Falls, Irene Baker of Lake Wateree, Shirley Morrison and Elaine Hollis of Great Falls.
