Blackstock Mr. James Cleatis "Sonny" Hinson, 80, of 3724 Bantham Lane, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014, at his home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Great Falls with Rev. Brian Hovis officiating.Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Born in Union, SC on May 19, 1934, he was a son of the late James Ford Hinson and Evelyn Clara Carter Hinson.He attended the schools of Union County and was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens and Phillips Industries. Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Annie Faye Crouch Hinson.He was a loving father of eight children, Judy, James, Ronnie (Patsy), Sandy, Sharon, Danny, Debbie (Jackie), and Jacqueline (Ray); twenty-nine grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; one brother, Wayne Hinson (Martha); two sisters, Carolyn Huffstickler, and Brenda Walker (Jerry).He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gail Davis and Barbara Jean Baker.
